I have been playing around with yogurt cheese or “yochee” as it’s often found online….I’m finding it to be very versatile. Anyway, while searching for ideas for spreads to make with the yochee I found a recipe for Cinnamon Raisin Spread which looked super yummy so I tried it with yochee – yum! I made a few minor adjustments – like adding more sugar- to help sweeten up the somewhat sour/tart flavor of my yochee.

So, here’s the original recipe for you to check out – it is great as well!

Now, for my version…..

  • 1 yochee recipe (I used skim plain yogurt for this recipe)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • handful raisins

  1. after you have made your yochee, add the other ingredients and mix well
  2. let this mixture sit about 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld and then serve with toast or on bagels
