Baked spaghetti is basically just spaghetti in a casserole form with lots of gooey cheese on top…it’s quick, easy, and tasty. My version of this classic is below.


  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 red or white onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 lb lean hamburger meat
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 jar of your favorite red sauce (I really like one with mushrooms/veggies in it)
  • 3 servings of spaghetti noodles, dry
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


  1. boil noodles as usual, drain, and put into a casserole dish with 1/2 of red sauce and mix together
  2. saute the onion, pepper, and garlic in PAM until just tender
  3. cook the hamburger in the skillet and drain, then mix with the veggies and 1/2 jar of red sauce
  4. pour the hamburger/sauce mix over the noodles and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
  5. top casserole dish with shredded cheese and pop into the oven (350F) for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and gooey 🙂

If you want, you can make the meat and sauce mixture and shred your cheese prior to cooking the noodles and assembling the casserole to cut down on time getting supper ready the next night!
