I like to occasionally cook things in the crock pot and they generally turn out pretty good – unless I’m unable to get home before they burn… we work long hours.

Today I tried this recipe for short ribs…it turned out pretty good…but it was a little dry – no fault of the recipe but rather my inability to get home in time to prevent them from getting too done.

The flavor of the meat was nice and the recipe is so simple – I had it in the crockpot and ready to go in less than 10 minutes!

Here’s the recipe and instructions:

3 lbs. beef short ribs
1 c. water
1/4 c. cooking wine
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. barbecue sauce

Place ribs in crock pot standing. Pour in wine and water. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper. Pour barbecue sauce over ribs. Cook on low approximately 8 hours.
